Core Beliefs
Being a part of a good community is very important. In my experience, a good community creates a place that you can call home. Community is what makes neighborhoods safe, businesses profitable, and gives individuals opportunities for personal and professional growth. Community is not bought, but built. It is earned, and it is a direct result of a population’s involvement and effort.
To garner prosperous communities, I believe several qualities must be present within local government. First and foremost, common sense. Common sense is more than basic knowledge and is extremely important in numerous aspects of life. Common sense: keeps us safe, helps us identify and solve problems, gives us a basic set of rules to live by within society, and it gives us a logical foundation for self governance. All of these qualities and abilities stem from common sense and make up a cornerstone of what a government should provide its citizens.
The second quality needed for a successful government is prudency. Prudence is having the ability to govern and discipline oneself by the use of reason. It is skill and good judgment in the use of resources and handling of affairs. This quality helps maintain sound fiscal budgets and keeps a government focused on the greatest needs of its citizens.
45 plus years of family and business has taught me many life lessons. Lessons that have developed me into the person I am today. One lesson that has remained consistent in its importance to me has been the importance of community. Community is why I am running.
